CCGG Market Commentary

August 1, 2014    Commentary

Futures were volatile this morning but could not fully sustain early gains, finishing the week down 4 cents in Chicago. Basis softened slightly to end the week. The Midwest is expecting record corn yields. The big news this week would be EU wheat quality concerns. High quality wheat is looking like it may be more in demand and could offer some support to wheat prices in the near term. Black Sea harvest produuction is coming in higher than expected.
