CCGG Market Commentary

June 29, 2015    Afternoon Commentary

The wheat board finished up nicely again this morning on continued fund short covering due to hot EU weather, a huge amount of rain over the corn crop in the recent weeks, and quality concerns over the HRW areas of the midwest. Wheat futures have appreciated almost a dollar since 6/19. Tomorrow is the USDA's quarterly stocks and acreage report.

Announcements:

The futures market will close early on July 2nd and be closed Friday the 3rd in observance of the 4th of July holiday.

On July 1st, we will begin quoting a Coast price instead of a Dayton price.

* Our harvest survey cards for producers have been sent out, please mail them back ASAP.
