Partnership with Business Nicole Hudson and Andrea Payne did their senior project with the Columbia County Grain Growers to help Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) learn about the agricultural business. They had four components to their project: job interview, presentation, tour of an elevator and website development. Job interview: Six senior FBLA members interviewed as an entry level position with Ted Lowe. The students composed a job resume, and letter of application. Ted gave the members evaluations and suggestions to help them improve on their job interviewing skills. Presentation: An hour presentation at the Youth Building located at the Columbia County Fair Grounds. The presentation was given by Mr. Payne and Mr. Lowe explaining their job duties, and about grain in the Pacific Northwest. Tour: After the presentation, the students were bused to the Dayton grain elevator. They learned how an elevator operates, and why it is so important in the Columbia County grain system. Website development: As of now, Andrea and Nicole are in progress in changing the layout and making the website more user friendly.
